• A traumatic brain injury that commonly affects brain function.

  • Effects are usually temporary and can include headaches, problems with concentration, memory, balance and coordination.

  • Concussions are sometimes difficult to recognize; any trauma to the head should be treated as a possible concussion.

  • Concussions are common in teenagers and young adults who play contact sports, such as hockey, soccer, and football.

What can Nobleton Physiotherapy do for me?
  • A registered physiotherapist will offer a concussion management and recovery plan.

  • Monitor recovery and ensure return-to-work and return-to-play does not occur before the concussions has resolved.

  • Provide base-line concussion testing before an injuries occurs.

Our one-to-one sessions with a Registered Physiotherapist allows us to utilize our manual therapy skills to provide effective and efficient treatment directed at restoring joint mechanics and soft tissue health.  Our treatment sessions last 30-45 minutes thereby allowing us to provide ample ‘hands-on’ treatment.  Our physiotherapists have acquired advanced manual therapy skills through continuing academic courses offered by the Canadian Physiotherapy Association – Orthopaedic division.
